scratch on lcd screen

its only a small tv that I use in the bedroom, but I was wondering if I would be able to get the scratch out or would it be worth claiming on my household insurance.

in the cold weather is it cheaper to leave the heating on 24/7 and control it by the termostat or put it on timer and have it come on just in the mornings and evenings?
