Getting an IP Addess

I am looking to develop some small websites on a server in my house. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could go about getting an IP Address. I don't believe my broadband provider can help. Chris

when downloading video files from kazaa,some do not work as they say "player error" is there something i can donload to enable them to play?
