help please, self employed needs paying our rights

My partner has been working now on a job for about 8 days builing a raised patio,brick planter,shed base,erecting a shed,wooden posts so on. On the last day he was slabbing the raised brick patio area...

turf & landscape fabric

I would like to re turf my lawn but to prevent weeds can i put down landscape fabric then top soil then turf.
