Dog claws

My dog appears to have lost one of her claws. Her paw, although sore, looks OK, but I'm just wondering if the claw will grow back. Does anyone know about these things? Thanks.

Pond life

A colleague has found a creature in her garden pond which is eating the jelly around the frogspawn. It is abour a foot long, white, and resemble a length of 'thick cotton'. Any ideas?
