Damaged someone's wing mirror hlep!!!

I damaged someone's wing mirror today but I was driving my friend's car so the insurance is registered in their name, is this illegal? I would have willingly just paid the driver for the wing mirror...

Focus wing mirror

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent (UK)website that will deliver car parts. I'm looking for a wing mirror for a Ford Focus - just the mirror part itself - not the whole plastic assembly....
