cautions and working with vulnerable people

i av just found out that i was cautioned for battery in 2006 and i am supposed to be starting work for a organisation and worried that i wont be able to start work now?? will this effect me?

i was cautioned with battery in 2006 and i have only just found this out) and my employer wants a crb check. as i will be working with vulnerable people will this effect me? i was getting my ex wifes...
