Dial up connection when printing

I have a HP printer and every time I go to print the dial up connection dialog box appears - why is this and how can i prevent it from happening each time??

Getting rid of old e-mails

My knowledge of computers is a bit basic. I've got 400+ e-mails in my 'deleted' box, but how do I get rid of them permanently before my boss finds out exactly what I spend most of my working day...
