Web design and games.

I would like to buy a Laptop computer. I plan to build my own websites,but would also like to play games like The Sims. I hear Apple are good for design,but what about gameplay?

Volume control disapeared.

I'm running win, Me. My volume control has disapeared from my systray. Is there a way to get the volume control back?
