How do you make a stream garden feature??

We would like to re do the garden sometime this year and there is a side of the garden where there is a pond BUT we would like to have a natural looking stream going into it, anyone done one?? ideas...

Lavender dying

Can anyone tell me why some of my lavender bushes are dying whilst others - in the same bed - are healthy. The soil is certainly not too wet and is well drained - in fact it is very dry at the moment...
