Breaking Fingernails

My fingernails break down the sides, just as they are getting long. They are quite tough (they don't bend easily) and brittle. Is there any special glue I can dab on, to stop the break going right...

Cheaper to Switch Off or Leave On Computer?

Is it cheaper to leave my home computer on all day, electricity wise, or better to switch it on and off three or four times a day, when I use it ?
