Harry Potter 6: false Horcruxe (maybe spoiler for does ho do not read the book)

In HP 6 the note on the locker said it would distroy the Horcruxe...well... shouldn`t be Harry thinking he had a friend looking for the Horcruxes too?.... that my well come handy...and I mean WHY keep...
