How to kill ceder tree

I have a huge ceder tree in my garden, how can i kill it without anyone finding out it was?

leylandii trees are a nuisance....

....is there any way i can kill them off naturally without it looking like i did it? I don't want to fall out with the neighbours so would rather it be 'god's will'
