Horse racing - how the bets work

If a horse is 11-2, does that mean you have to put 11 down in order to win back the 11 pound plus 2 more?? or vice versa?? xx

Is there a site where you can enter a musical theme in notes and get the name? There is for classical (well, a book anyway) but I haven't seen one for any popular music.
