Can't Open Icons On Desktop

I cannot open programmes [ google, email, open office etc] from icons on desktop, they just keep buffering....they open when I go into the start menu..I am running windows 8.1

Does anyone know a washing machine that can do a 7kg standard/ordinary wash load ,with spin speed of 1400 in less than 2 hours, for under £250.. most seem a very long wash cycle....

I've just changed google password on vodafone smart phone..when I go onto laptop there is a yellow triangle with ! at top right hand side..says sign in, but triangle still there after putting new...

Sign In On Google Out Of Date

box on google settings says" sign in details out of date" .there is a yellow triangle with ! at top right hand side..try to sign in with password I changed to 2 hours ago...yellow box still there....

Google Chrome Icon On Start Menu

I have a new laptop with Windows 8.1. when I pinned Google Chrome to start menu the tile showed the G.chrome icon, now there is just a grey tile..the icon is still showing on the desktop.
