It might not be racist per se, but doesn't this type of programme tend to make people think that all gypsies are like this. The vast majority (if not all) the people shown on this programme are not even gypsies, they're itinerant tinkers.

anyone see this weeks episode, one young traveller was so into her lifestyle as a traveller that she went and left her caravan and moved into a house!!
She left for her baby's sake after being moved on so many times...no elctricty, no gas, no water...is not a great environment to bring up a baby.
no i agree, but its what she is used to and raves about the life, but her choice
I think they rave about the life because they know they won't be accepted outside their own community.

Did you see last weeks one was in Northampton?
yes i did, where abouts, did you recognise any of it
I don't personally watch the programme, but it's fairly true to say that there is so much bias against travellers generally that whenever a travelling family settle, or a girl marries a gordji and tries to fit in with his way of life or occasionally vice versa that it never works because the community as a whole nearly breaks it's back to be as difficult and unaccepting as it can possibly manage ( and that's traveller and gordji communities I'm talking about). Predjeudice is a horrible thing whichever ways it's pointing.
Yes, I recognised the police station...lol. Apparently they are having the wedding reception at a pub 2 mins drive from the police station....handy as he seems to think a good wedding ends in a fight!!
There are just too many people today looking around for something or someone they can call 'offensive', '....ist'. '....phobe', '...ism' etc. It's generally the unpleasant elements who use those terms and point fingers at others and it has to stop really. It's gone too far now.
