Ed, any chance of a permanent cure for script disappearing under adverts?

I know it's caused by people posting long links, but it makes posts incomprehensible at times. In the more serious sections of AB, I would hazard a guess at my peril. ;o)

No problems here either,and I'm on Firefox.
I'm on Chrome and get this problem too, but it seems to come and go.
I agree with jno, what happened to the links being shortened? Are you going to make it possible to overwrite them as in ye olden dayes on here?
Hi Ed- thanks for responding on my other thread about this. I am using Chrome and this problem seems to have become much more common in the last few days.
At one time I remember links used to be compressed in some way (with the middle bit replaced by a few dots) but now some links addresses seem to take up several lines
Ed - sorry for delay, only just seen this response. We're on IE9 and have no need to change, we are fine on all other websites.

I have checked on Firefox, chrome and IE7 with no problems.

So will pass it on to the techies.
No problem for me either.
