Dear Ed
Why don't you do the same with the Crosswords link as you did with Jokes, and put it in alphabetical order?
Here's hoping, BT

Some haven't realised there is a crossword section; some have said they will continue to post in Q& P because they feel they get quicker answers there; and some must have Q&P set up on their favourites.
I know I've been ticked off by some for being small-minded when I've politely pointed out to crossword posters in Q&P that there is a new Crosswords section so I've stopped.
If we don't want to get posts in the right section then why not simply combine them again.
If we do want people to post crosswords in Crosswords maybe we need a yellow 'stickie ' at the top of Q&P, and we also need to amend the Q&P/Crossword guidelines since the crossword guidelines refer to Q&P. And I agree Crosswords should now be put in its alphabetical place.

I agree it's working but less so at weekends- and I think it's because weekend posters may have Q&P saved as a favourite.
If you look at Q&P threads from today most of them are crosswords, so maybe there is something more that can be done.
But I would agree that there may be other priorities for Ed such as stopping some of the twaddle on desktop's threads, and making the answers visible without having to tab down the page

not that I go there often but I hadn't even noticed there was a Crosswords section. Maybe it and the Editor's Blog - the two sections out of alphabetical order - should get themselves a separate box at the top of the list? Given that Crosswords is so popular, it probably merits such special treatment.
