If you decide on a whim you've had enough or accidentally click the button in your profile, is it final?
Can you log in again to reactivate your account or is it it?

I think you would have to contact the Ed to reactivate you account. I could be wrong but I believe I have read that somewhere on here.

Society is right - but you can't just de-activate with an "accidental click" - you have to go through a confirmation process including entering your password before the account is de-activated.

Perhaps a question might pop up asking you if you are sure you want to deactivate your account? I don't know, just guessing.

I did,on a whim,deactivate my account but regretted it a few days later and e-mailed the editor explaining and after a few days was re-connected.

You should "mean it" if you click the button. It is rare occasions that we actually reactivate deactivated accounts and the requests go at the bottom of the pile when it comes to dealing with contacts on here :)
