it means that if you are participating in a long post, when you next go to that post, you can skip straight to the first post you haven't yet read (rather than having to skip through pages of dross)
It's only really a problem when threads go over onto two or more pages. If it stretches to say 5 pages I always need 2 clicks- one to get on the thread and one to choose the last page. However I find that by a time a thread exceeds one page in length (20 replies) the conversation is going round in circles or the thread has turned into the sort that could get pulled, so i don't feel the need to keep going back.
So, whilst it could be useful it's not a big deal to me, Ed
Good point, hc. It can only be an improvement, but whether it's a priority or worth taking AB down for a few hours, I don't know- and changes like this can sometimes have unforeseen consequences.
Anyway, I'm off to work now so I don't mind if Ed takes the site down until this evening if he wants while the techies work on this today
