I wasn't sure where to post this so sorry if it's in the wrong place.

All was okay when I came on AB earlier this evening, now most peoples' avatars have disappeared. Is it just me or has anyone else got this problem?

AB's server makes a call upon Gravatar to display the avatars. Something in the chain seems to be working rather erratically this evening.

Bottom L/H corner of my screen (on W10) it says 'Waiting for www.gravatar.com...'

Doesn't worry me. I have been suspended so many times I lose track if I have a avatar entitlement or not. :-)
