I know Blackbirds eat apples, but then they recognise them as food.

My French vine produces 50-60 Kg of grapes each year, but they do not produce decent wine that keeps, so I let the local wildlife feast away. They are taken by birds, wasps, hornets, butterflies, lizards (the grapes that fall) and God knows what else.
English birds on a bird table, I just don't know - perhaps the English fatty stuff might be more to their taste.
