This has been asked before but I'm after an update :o)
So which ads really annoy you? I can't stand that Special K ad with that woman who has had a makeover and everyone calls her a loser. The stylist guy in it is the worst!

Mine is STILL the Stella Artois with the priests on the iced over lake.

cannot.

fooking.

stand.

it.

But both of you who said the ads annoy your REMEMBERED THE PRODUCT, Special K and Stella Artois.

Surely for the company that paid for it then it is better that the advert annoyed you, but you remember what it is for, than the other way round, great advert but you cannot remember what it is for.

How many adverts have really made you laugh, like the Peter Kay adverts, but you have no idea what they are for.

ocean finance and all those no win no fee ads

Oh my God Kitty, thought I was the only one driven MENTAL by the stylist bloke and his 'Loser, loser, loser'!

And while we're on the subject, that Esure mouse gets right on my tits.

So tell us more about THAT lissy ;)
Any ad. with Carol Vorderman in it .... in fact Carol Vorderman full stop.
Am I the only person who thinks the girl in the Special K "loser" advert (yeh, it annoys me too) looks better before her makeover than after it? Always did go for 'pretty but natural' rather than 'magazine model glamorous'. The Tresemme ads annoy me too - "that's what I do - make women look and feel fabulous". Oh shut up, ya smarmy great twonk.

vehelpfulguy - I've heard your argument several times and still don't follow it. Yes, a cack advert may make me remember a product, but it certainly won't make me buy or use it - if anything I'm more likely to boycott it in a fit of pique!

...and the Peter Kay ads are for John Smiths Bitter ;-p
Ringtones/messages tones/fun sounds etc. When I get a text do I really want a noise that sounds like someone doing a VERY bad impression of Marjorie Dawes saying "Pick up the phone yeah? Ya fat git". Also any Crazy Frog things - DJ Crazy Frog, Crazy Frog in India, Crazy Frog presents GMTV, Crazy Frog becomes a bank manager, Crazy Frog gets an intimate medical examination......

I agree with most of the posts here - except 1. I actually am gently amused by the priests on the lake. The look on the one guys face on the end shows, if anything, that he is a great actor. So much said without a word.

That said, it won't make me buy as I loath lager.

I'm with you lil' ole me - she does look better before the makeover.

As for you dreddnought, if a woman with a cartoon mouse on her chest does it for you, who am I to judge? ; )

At least the Michael Winner adverts have gone now! Calm down dear! x

Ahh Lissy, you've made my day.......
The Little Bill ads, the esure mouse and also that ad where the car turns into a robot. Everyone likes that one though, I only know one other person who finds it annoying.
I've said this one before on another post a while ago but it HATE that awful Herbal Essences advert.  It's the close up of her horrible wet lip-glossed lips that starts to drive me berserk, but when she does her her faux sexy voice at the end, well, that's when I want to kill......
I agree Piper-AK! I just want him to stuff his socks in her gob! But even she's not as irritating as that bloody LouLou in those cholestoral ads with her phoney mid-atlantic accent and her 4 7! Wow! Someone feed her chips nonstop so her bloody high cholestoral level ends up killing her please!

Cillit Bang! It has to be!

BARRY SCOTT

Yes, the esure ads drive me mad too, but I agree with lissy, it's a marginal improvement on Michael Winner.

And yes, c**p ads do make me remember the product, but the esure ads bugged me so much I've taken a vow NEVER to use them!
I have to say, that ******* Dolphin advert with the ANNOYING WOMAN who has ANNOYING teeth. Both her and the Ocean Finance adverts with the people I wouldn't want to look at EVER give me nightmares. You realise that most of us posting here watch way too much television?
And to the guy with the off english who pointed out that we remembered the product ... I live in a flat, not a house, so I have no mortgage ... Ocean Finance ****** me off at first because of the huge fat blonde lady who thinks getting a mortgage involves people "babbling at you with science". How stupid can you get??? Then they follow it up with an advert with people who are even more stupid. Would I go with Ocean Finance? Hell no! Obviously these people are idiots! Why would anyone trust them?
Yeah, the adverts for esure are all awful! Except the cartoon ones (not those with the clay chicago mouse). I quite like the advert for stella artois, stella artois are quite good for making adverts - each one usually has a story and is quite poignant and picturesque. The touch of monocremacy with the priests on the lake adds to the atmosphere. The "loser" adverts don't bother me that much for some reason, I have to disagree with whomever dislike the dancing car advert, I bought an album with "Les Rhythmes Digitales" and their song on just because of that advert! Also the Elephant Car Insurance adverts really **** me off, I hate the bad acting and crappy scripting. With the part added in by "vehelpfulguy" about remembering an item because of an annoying advert, yes - I did remember the product. Remembering the product only created a scapegoat for me to aim my annoyance at thus eliminating the product or service from my train of thought and options that I would choose. The "Lil Bill" ads aren't that bads, I actually quite like the music. Along with those damn mortage, loan and lawyer adverts!! Not the actual adverts themselves which do boil my noodles but the actual wording of the adverts! And then in small print at the bottom "if you do not keep up payments we will steal your soul and murder your pets" I mean, what has this world come to!

The wording that connected the legal adverts and the "Lil Bill" adverts was not intentional.
