If I understand what you're saying then yes I do if I've typed a lot - have sometimes found if I've moved away from the box (maybe to google a fact or a spelling) when I return it's all gone and I have to start again.

If I had started my reply then say I wanted to go back and check who said what, then I'd open a new tab (AB) check my facts then return to first tab and add.

Thanks, I am aware of opening another tab, I should have asked something like Prudie mentioned.

It would be a lot better if there was a ''go back'' button, like a lot of sites have.

If I am commenting on something that was said on say page 2 of a thread which has now run to 5 pages, I would go back to page 2 to answer. That way I can see both the post I am answering and my answer. Other than that I C&P or open another tab.
