Secret Moderators

I would like to acknowledge that there are some accounts that have been created by our moderators, to help them control the community, without breaking their normal identity.

Having multiple AnswerBank accounts is against site rules. However, these accounts have been approved by the Editors.

These moderators will be added to this thread, and you should give them as much respect as you would give to an Editor.

If you are a moderator, and would like to have one of these accounts, please send us an email.

My obit of Luc Montagnier was - - - stabbed in the back. I thought it was because the deleter ( let's call her, Rita) felt that by deleting it, he wd be resurrected! Didnt occur but 10/10 for creative thought

The Mods are volunteers doing the job to the best of their abilities.

If you think you can do a better job, why did you not put your name forward when the position was advertized a while ago?

You have a short memory Corby. When you asked that not so long ago I told you that whilst I have no particular wish to police people I once offered to zap spam but didn’t even get the courtesy of a ‘don’t call us we’ll call you’. I’ve since discovered that two mods objected to me helping out (one I presume because I reported and had removed the porn he posted, the other telling me point blank that I would never be a mod) so in the circumstances I’ve never offered again. Just not their type I guess.

Naomi24 i disagree with what you say this thread is not addressing issues with moderation it is admitting that the secretive mods are actually mods and not people pretending to be a mod because that would be easy to do to just make an account and pretend you are a mod

This 'SMALL' UK based website has been passed from hand to hand for as long as I can remember.
And for each successive passing it has implemented more draconian rules with each new owner.

You want to make some money from this site?
Do the opposite of the previous owners (Who had to sell it)

Maybe I need to read the 453 answers Nailit but wern't the mods IDs allready secret unless a mod chose to go public as a mod... so is it really much of a change?

My shift pattern has kept me away until today and allowed plenty of time to pass from my original message. Reading through all of these hundreds of replies has left me with the feeling that none of you want to know why your comments have been removed. I am happy to oblige and will carry on removing answers when it is necessary. I will be looking forward to you not asking why or moaning that it has happened.
