A Question For Mods

It's years and years since I was a mod and I really can't remember how things worked then. Anyway it's all probably changed.

Do mods have any way of privately getting in touch with each other or supporting each other in difficult situations? I know they do on some sites. As Editors and site owners are often not about, I hope there is support for mods a available off site.

When it comes to bullying on here it's always the ones with dirty hands pointing the fingers.

Some people just want a bit of banter with their friends without constant harassment from the mob.

We want to identify moderators with a symbol next to their names. However, this is one of those ideas that may be hard to implement. We also wish to respect longstanding moderators who don't want to be publically known. That means if we gave moderators a symbol to show their status, it would have to be able to be turned off in the user profile.
