I call them grenade posts and TBH I am surprised that the mods/ED etc do not act to control them. Ok fair enough Naomi, I respect your opinion and perhaps I am reactive to them. I'll stop doing that but also I'll control them better, as JTH has asked me to explain. I think new members are put off by the same post over and over with no evidence or reason, no debate just a shouty poster with very little intelligence and very little reasoning and a sidekick with exactly the same attributes.

14:42 not true I always post supporting data and debate my position. That's the point. I was pointed at a US site similar to this yesterday. While I did not like their layout I did agree with their "Don't be a jerk" policy and I was inspired to try make that work here. The ones we have been talking about have never: 1. posted a link, 2. Offerred any sort of support for their position, 3. Answered a follow up.

I do all of those, I am nothing like them, they are killing this site with the support of people like you.

15:01 I tried that and the ED had a fit and threatened me with all the worst tortures of the ancient world. I actually did what I called shadowmodding for a couple of days about 2 years ago. Mc Dougie has actually referred to it.
