Memorable birthdays
5 Answers
Hi everyone, I would like to know what were your best ever birthdays because I am trying to get some ideas for mine and some other friends. I live in West Yorkshire and will be 31 and don't have that much money so no nights away but fancy doing something slightly different. What kind of birthdays have you all had?

My mum worked for a local heritage centre, and they had an old bus they used as a free pick-up around the area for holidaymakers wanting to visit it. It had been in the old St Trinian's films - so, really old! They let my mum borrow it, and the driver, and we took all of my friends to Freshwater West - a local beach off the beaten track and famous for its huge sand dunes. We had a barbecue and a picnic, had races up and down the dunes and messed about on the beach. One of my mum's friends brought some champagne and we could all have a drink (poor driver!!) but the most memorable bit was when it broke down on the way home! It had overheated, and we used the empty bottles to fill up the radiator with water from a river we'd stopped next to. All in all, a memorable day!!
You could all chip in for a minibus, and then do something less expensive? That could be your only expense - a picnic doesn't have to be much, and beaches are free....have fun, happy birthday!! xx

well some of my best ever I cant remember. :-) But did have a great one at A hall, where most of people were outside as it was a gorgeous day and also lots of bushes ;-) after the party we went down to an old nature reserve and had another party with a big camp fire, then at about 3am people started getting cold and taxis had stopped running at 2am so some of us started to take the walk down a dual carriageway back to town. We had callouts on radio for anyone travelling past to give us a lift. Police turned up and gave some lifts back to town. The next morning the djs were found asleep in my mums garden, duvets had been thrown in hedges, about 20 people asleep in bus stop and when I rang the hall the woman wasnt pleased as 80 bottles found outside and when she turned up a boy fell out of a tree onto her :-) Everybody still talks about the party.
