Is it just me or does Channel 4 just totally rock? I want a discount on my licence fee, my viewing is now 10 percent BBC. Channel 4 just seems to present....what I want to watch. All the time. And it gets all the best sitcoms and comedies.

Being on a kind of flexi-time arrangement means I can sometimes watch the US comedies they have on weekday mornings. I usually find US comedies a bit hit and miss, but they've recently been having Everybody Loves Raymond (quite good - has its moments), followed by The King of Queens (better - but now sadly finished its run and replaced by yet another God-awful reality TV show called The Coach Trip), followed by the best of the lot IMO, the excellent Will and Grace.

Plus, of course, they have The Simpsons now too. Oh yes, me like Channel 4, me do.
i totally agree, if i flick on the tv (being a rare beast that still survives with solely terrestrial tv) i will always check C4 first, there isn't really another channel between 9 & 11.  Shameless, as i've said before, is (or was) imho the best thing on tv, no angels, ER, the simpsons, friends, will and grace, King of Queens (which i'm missing!) as well as the documentries which i also really like. ...... now if only they'd get rid of Hollyoaks. ....
Good call, Englishbird - how could I forget Shameless? :-)
Yes King of Queens is a great little sitcom , could easily make the leap to night time t.v..
Totally agree with Joey.. Channel 4 has really chnaged ove the years and the range of programming is excellent. I plump for their 7.00 pm news which is fantastic and John Snow should really be knighted for his work....but what chance that happening....zilch. They would rather give it to Trevor Mcdonald that doyen of incisive questioning.

Ch4 is ace - it shows all the things that need to having 'warnings' beforehand, like the 'Banned' season - great stuff!
