I'm at the farm in Devon, we had a leg of lamb and a rib of beef for lunch yesterday, so with the left over potato and greens I made bubble and squeak to go with the sausages and bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes for Brunch.
Tonight, as my father can't eat anything too spicy, we are having a roasted loin of pork covered in pancetta and fresh sage leaves, served with a creamy apple-brandy and peppercorn sauce. Veg include new potatoes, and cheesy leek and courgette bake. Vgetable and pasta bake for the two vegetarians, and for pud there are three options, the last of yesterday's apple pie with cinnamon ice cream, a fresh cream raspberry trifle or somethinga bit different I'm trying out, a Bailey's hazelnut liqueuer cheesecake, made with a chocolate biscuit base spread lightly with Nutella, then the cheesecake mixture the topped with chopped nuts and chocolate shapes.

I`m not having dinner. I`m having my main meal in the middle of the day instead. Cajun chicken, roasted mediterranean vegetables and spring onion mash. Toying with the idea of whether to share a bottle of Aspall blush cider but probably won`t as I might be driving this afternoon.
Sandwiches, I'm at work :(

By the way mercia, what`s the weather like in Devon? Should I be homesick?

Bit overcast now, we had a shower and some sun this morning, warmish night. About 17C - so mid sixties fahrenheit - very warm in the poly-tunnels!

There was my Mother and father, my elder brother and his wife and four kids (2 adopted) and my younger brother and his wife and three kids (2 adopted - who are brother and sister to the two my elder brother adopted), my hubby and me. I had some cheese sauce left over from the vegetable and pasta bake, so I poured it over some partly cooked leeks and courgettes and thought we could have it as a side veg with the pork tonight. I didn't have to make the apple pie, there's four slices left, and I made a trifle base in case there wasn't enough pudding yesterday, so I made fresh custard and used it today. My mother and elder brother and his wife love cheesecake so i made one for them plus, i never find cooking a chore - I love it the more the better!
Well I was going to rustle up a bit of steak with pepper sauce and roasted vegetables until I read your menu, Helen. Room for one more? I'll help with the washing up :p

Yay! :)

I'll just leave some chippy money on the side and I'll be on my way then.
We're having bacon and eggs in about ten minutes and then I may have a jacket tattie with cheese and coslaw later if I'm hungry again. I don't have much of an appetite lately so potentially the bacon and eggs will do.
Wild sea bass with a red pepper butter. baby hasselback potatoes and asparagus tips.
Homemade vanilla ice cream with a hot morello cherry sauce.
