You have to be honest... Otherwise you will invalidate your policy... shop around... Have you tried comparison websites? Good luck and happy motoring :)
dont tell lies to an insurance company, they will anything not to pay out on a claim.
dont give them any reason to do this.

You can use a friend or relatives address to get cheaper car insurance .....-providing your car is parked there overnight
Hear of lots of moans of expensive insurance - when quotes are actually quite reasonable compared to the sodomy i have to endure, but saying that your Manchester postcode if it is inner city will basically rule you out with 99% of insurers
High risk driver - yes
High risk postcode -computer says NO
My daughter's premium went up, albeit by just £5 per year when we moved from our village into the town. She is 28 and has been driving since she was 17.
'Fraid, you'll be best shopping around, but having no driving experience the rates will be high for the first few years, until insurers have some data of you as a driver.

who did your daughter in law get her inurance with

this is on the adverts section but nevermind, have you tried DL or aviva plus others who arent on the comparison sites, ive got a 206 and i got the quote from go compare,
If you make a claim and their checks uncover your providing a false address they will refuse to pay out.

And, as they will void your insurance if the police are involved in the claim and accident investigation you could be done retrospectively for driving without insurance.

It's not worth it.
also no dont lie about where you live, tell the truth, they will find out and you could find the policy is cancelled
Tip, car insurance companies know if you are lying so be honest as they can find out. I know someone who said their car was kept in a garage at their property. After it got damaged in the middle of the night they did not pay up. Why?? Because they used Google Earth and could zoom in on their house and see no garage!
Insurance quotes can change for unknown reasons but after looking around you can get better quotes but are you compromising cover?
I have had insurance companies give all sorts of reasons for a increased price, my last reason was that there had been a lot of accidents in my postcode over the last yeat...funny as the postcode only overs one business - mine and we have not claimed on any insurances.
I mess around with the search engine to work out the individual companies criterior, I have added my 21 year old wife on our Jaguar X type but my 50 year old mother costs me more even though she has a better record.
Not all the insurance companies are on the comparison websites - you'll sometimes get a better price by going direct to the insurance companies. You could always ask a broker to shop around for you too - the insurance company pay them commission so it wouldn't cost you any more.
Also once quotes on comparison websites have been generated refresh the page or go to a different site, this usually saves you around £22 with the same company. Oh and dont give your real phone number untill you are ready to buy, use a number of a con company such as mobile phone sellers.
