Best and Worst Shops

Just read on Yahoo News that Halfords was voted worst shop, best was "Lust" beauty shop, never heard of it are these surveys justified, agree with some comments, TkMax was up there as being bad, I love TKMax but in our local one I think the staff for customer service with the exception of one or two are the worst, your views

I've only ever been in Halfords twice and both times the staff were very helpful.
My wooden spoon award goes to PC world. Every branch I have been in is staffed by morons who could double as extras in Night of the Living Dead

I think it depends on what is being judged. I am mostly a very (sometimes too much!) patient person who is rubbish at complaining but, much as I like H&M, I've nearly walked out a few times due to some of the staff and poor customer service in there. Other staff are fine though so quite personal.

I've always found HMV really helpful, as has my mum trying to track down stuff for my brother with no idea what she is looking for. They are always brilliant with any enquiries in the one here.

PC World, Currys, mostly unhelpful staff
Asda, in one of their London store, many of the staff seem about as rude and ignorant as its possible to be.

Aldi (or at least my local one) - best, friendliest shop

WH Smith .... what exactly are they for these days .... and the one on my local station specialises in the 'one till open, six staff chatting' scenario at peak passenger times.

I agree about HMV.
I was once sent in to buy a CD for one of the offspring and by the time I got there I'd forgotten the name of the band and the title of the CD. The staff were very patient and helpful and when I said I thought the band was something like Camping With Girls they worked out I was after Scouting for Girls!

Best not sure, but the staff in John Lewis are always helpful.

I've got no problem with Halfords. Burtons gets our wooden spoon.

I agree about Halfords, always expect poor service and assistants who don't really know what they're talking about. I expect it was 'Lush' that scored well, I can't go in them as the smell makes me sneeze.

Lidl are a nightmare for checkouts. Often only 1 open and a queue of 10 or more at it. Customers often just walk out.

The same HMV staff kept a straight face when I went in to buy something by JLS and I asked for J2O

Morrisons - when staff are asked where a certain item is they take you to it - brilliant.

Our Aldi's not that hot, the only people you see are on the till. Food's nice, though. I'd vote our Boots pharmacy as very helpful.

Our local Tesco and Sainsbury staff are very helpful always pleasant, as are Marks and Spencer always willing to help but I think they are well trained in Customer service

PC World are worst. The staff, if they can be bothered to appear, think only of commission or turnover, not what you need the equipment for, which may require only the most basic, and cheapest, model.

John Lewis and their subsidiary, Waitrose, are best. Helpful staff who know the store and know their subject in the various departments.

I'm not surprised Lush got a good rating. The times ive been in there they are always happy to let you play around with the products and encourage you to try the bath bombs in little bowls of water. It must cost the company a fortune but it must be a fun place to work too.

My mum wanted to look for something for my nephew in the child section of GAP a few weeks ago. We were approached by a lovely friendly shop assistant who helped us look for what we wanted and gave us advice and then another shop assistant who went to look out the back in case they had anything not on the shelves. They were so friendly and helpful I was really impressed.

I agree about Lush as well, always so friendly and helpful, letting you try products and they've sent me away with free samples before now to try to see if I like it before I buy anything.

You can't beat them.
