Seeing as all the real ale fans are here...
What hardy perrennials are always on tap in your area? I'm not talking the usual 4 pump clips of Fosters, Guiness Extra Cold, Stella and John Smiths. I'm talking what pubs think of as real ale but tend to be a bit samey.
Round here its all Fullers London Pride and Marston Pedigree or Greene King IPA. Bit annoying as these breweries are capable of brewing decent beers (apart from Greene King) Would be nice to see a Fullers ESB or Marstons Old Empire for a change.
On the upside since Fullers took over Gales at least HSB is more available. Even though they closed Gales brewery in Horndean and moved production up to Chiswick the taste hasnt changed. Unlike when Greene King got its hands on Old Speckled Hen.

Bass is good when it's good - but bloody horrible when it isn't - unfortunately there tends to be more of the latter than the former as you get further from the Burton upon Trent mothership.
I've had some good pints of Everards over Leicester way recently - but it does tend towards the headache inducing if you over indulge :+)
