Tonight there was a program about Charities contacting regards Standing Orders Etc & the way they go about asking /Phoning you to contribute! to a point I am aware or the Data Protection Act as a lot on here maybe aware, are you aware that someone one can get done for using your personal information to be disclosed? I have donated to Disasters but I will not be dictated to too which disaster / Charity I donate to, I would like to know how you respond to these phones call, what you do when you receive them, and how you respond to them, myself, I am not the best with my response! "BUT" at times, enough is enough, I reply by saying, " Do not phone me again, take me off your system, bye bye, phone down, Tell me how you respond.

Tell them I am keeping a list of all charities that harass me and they are the ones that get no further donations, and definitely will not be mentioned in my Will if there is anything left. Funnily enough I have not had any calls for about 6 months now.

I just say that I am unable to contribute anything and politely end the call.

I often say rude words to them daisy so they don't waste my time, yesterday in the middle of a baking session hands covered in flour trying to answer the phone and the voice said -I hope your having a nice day - yes I was until you interrupted me or words to that effect.
Another annoying one is signing petitions via e mail ,once you sign one they don't leave you alone and then they start asking for donations to help with their causes, drives me nuts.
