This was on BBC Scotland but can be watched on iplayer - showing the pitfalls of buying a puppy from the internet or from a pet shop/dealer that has very probably been bred by a puppy farmer. It is down to buyers to check where their puppy is actually born and see it with the mother - or else you may end up with a puppy that is sick or worse and cause untold misery to the poor bitches who are bred from time and time again because people keep buying from these sources.

THESE ANIMALS ARE BRED AND BRED OVER AND OVER AGAIN,NEVER LET OUT OF WIRE CAGES, NEVER SEE THE SUN, OR FEEL THE WARMTH...THEY GET SICK AND NEVER SEE A VET TO HELP THEM... ALL PUPPY MILLS AND PEOPLE WHO OWN THEM NEED TO BE CLOSED DOWN... POOR DOGS NEVER FEEL LOVE, OR KNOW A KIND HAND... IT BEST TO NEVER BUY FROM PET STORES BECAUSE THIS IS WERE THEY GET THEIR PUPS FROM... THERE ARE A LOT OF DOGS IN LOCAL POUNDS WHO NEED A LOVING HOME, AND YOU WOULD BE SAVING THEIR LIFE...
