My daughter has just told me of a new eaterie that has opened near her home.As her and her husband like to try new places they tried this place but walked in and walked straight out again The staff were wearing t.shirts with the slogan
Trust me
Love me
*** me.
Can you believe this? I think it's absolutely disgusting. If I lived near there I would go and kick up a fuss.People have complained but have been told if they don't like it, to stay away which is fair enough, but I still think this is really unacceptable.Am I being an old fuddy duddy, do I need to move with the times?
Your thoughts please?

So I guess my idea of having next year's AB Christmas night out at The Bronx is a non starter then?

it could be argued a public affray ?
You have to wonder what customer base they are aiming at - sounds like they won't get much custom at this rate.
are we talking the F word here?

x x

Why, who's fighting?
Of course, we are only guessing what the expletive on the shirts is.
It really depends what *** means. Can you put it into a sentence somehow?

That ^^^ was for MM
or outraging public decency more appropriate ?
I wouldn't like it either, so I think I'd just stay away. I don't think you're being fuddy-duddy.
You're not being an old fuddy-duddy at all. If you don't like what you see in that restaurant, you don't have to accept what the staff are trying to do (are they trying to shock, amuse, or what?). Turn around and go somewhere else.
You could give them a ring. It doesn't sound clever and people might try going in with children.
your being an old fuddy duddy

however you can go along to the local police and say it alarmed and distressed you ( and hubby and the dog and the cuddly toy you never go out without ) and that would bring it into the remit of the Public Order Act 1986.

I hate myself for writing every word of this advice ..... party pooper

Yes it is the F word and it's described as a family place. I can see the young ones going there as it might not bother some of them but I'm just thinking along the lines of, what is this world coming to when staff are told to wear this uniform. They get the job in this brand new place then told they have to wear this t.shirt.I think it's disgusting.
Just go next time wearing a t.shirt with 'No thanks you ugly ****s' emblazoned on it.
Togo for BA ..
Lol :-)
Contact your local press and phone the council.
My second most hated sweary word, Barsel....but it's used all the time now in everyday language.....if it's the one I think you mean....

What can you do?.......Not a thing I suppose but no...you're not being an old fuddy duddy and if that's where the times are taking us stay in my little world with me......☺

If you were able to name the eaterie we could all (well those who don't like the word) write and say we came in to eat........ saw the T shirts and left........ ;-)
They are only touting for a tip.....

I wouldn't go in there and vent my anger at the staff as it's possible they might not be happy about wearing this uniform, but I would love to find out whose idea it was.
