Morning all, does anybody remember the Anchor butter advert from maybe the 70s or 80s which had a very catchy tune which finished with the lines 'you ll never beat the butter with the anchor sign'.

Thank you woofgang. Myself and the 2 year old are now dancing around the living room.
Can't find it as it was Country Life butter, not Anchor.

Sorry but I'm strictly a Lurpak man. Won't touch anything else.
The Anchor Commercial did exist B00, from link above.

There’s an Anchor sign on Britain’s favourite butter,
It’s the Anchor sign that tells you it’s the best.

If you like your bread and butter,
There’s no other word you’ll utter
’Cos you’ll always want the butter
With the Anchor sign!

(A little butter sailor singing and dancing to a hornpipe tune)//
oh aye yeah, I read the question wrong. I read (in my head) "you'll never put a better bit of butter on your knife".

Errr as you were, apologies all round!

I'm going for a lie down now...
