I often see people wearing T-Shirts with written slogans on them, but where do they get them from?
Can you choose what you want on the T-Shirt?
TIA

Simply search for 'personalised T-shirts'. There are loads of firms which will print text onto them but you get more flexibility with your design if you use a DTP (or image processing) program to create your own design, save it as a jpeg file and then upload it to a firm that prints photos, rather than just text, onto T-shirts.
SmartPhoto offer an excellent service. You can either totally design the whole thing yourself or taking an existing design, which incorporates text, and modify it to your requirements. e.g. https:/ /tinyur l.com/y 6d2yk2c or https:/ /tinyur l.com/y y6vkq8s
If you're interested in their service, start here:

Complete your basic requirements on the right and then click on 'Go to designs'. You'll then be presented with a wide range of options. (I used them recently to print a T-shirt for a young friend's 11th birthday. I was very impressed with the result!)

PS: Here's the design I created for my friend. (He loves his ragdoll cats, so I found a suitable picture on the web and imported it into a DTP document, which I then exported as a jpeg and uploaded to SmartPhoto): https:/ /ibb.co /YkwT9H m
Thanks Chris. I will have a look at those links to see if it's what I can manage. I am just looking for a T-Shirt that I can put text on, no photo. My brother has just sent me an email showing T-shirts with slogans on that made me laugh and I just thought, I'd like one of those. A sample, I am who I am, your approval isn't needed./I may be wrong, but I doubt it./Patience is a virtue, it's just not one of my virtues./ I'm great in bed, I can sleep all day./ I think my favourite has to be, At my funeral, take the bouquet off my coffin and throw it into the crowd to see who's next. Perhaps not to everyone's taste, but they made me laugh.
For those type of slogans, you could use the design in my second link above. (There are lots of others which are suitable too. You don't need to commit yourself to anything just to browse around them; you just have to fill in the basic information about what you're looking for and then see if anything there takes you fancy. If it does, click through to see how to add your own text instead of that in the illustration).
SmartPhoto's prices are very competitive and their designs make their T-shirts look far better than those from firms which just print 'bare' text onto a T-shirt. From the one T-shirt I've ordered from them so far, the quality seems to be very good too. (Don't expect your order to arrive in a rush though. Allow a week or two for it to get to you as the printing is actually done in Belgium).

. . . and also a lot more fiddly (from what I've heard from people who've tried using that special paper), Bhg41, with the reliability of the results being in doubt and with some reports of people finding that the designs come off easily in the wash.
Further, those photo papers can only be used on light-coloured shirts, whereas you can choose dark-coloured shirts when you order from printing companies.
