I'm Going To Buy A Sofa From Dfs

I've seen a sofa that I like at DFS, it's original price was £979, but I was told that DFS are always having sales on and it might come down in price, and it has.
When I looked at it today, it says 'Today's offer 18/06/2021' and it has £50 off. It then says 'After sales price applies 08/09/2021'.
Does this mean it will stay at this price until September or could it go down in price or even up, before then?
I'm thinking that perhaps just before the sale ends, they might just put on further reductions.

Take a copy of the best price you see. If it goes down, you are better off. If it goes up and you still want it, show them the best price and say you want it at that price. They probably would agree, to get the sale.

I don't pay heed to their sales. They are on all year round.

I think they put the prices up and drop them to what they would originally be.

Saying that....can't knock their service. I got my sofas from them, brilliant.
When did they not have a sale on? As one ends they start another - never at quoted "full" price.
We bought a sofa last year from DFS in a sale with £500 off. We had to order it and it took 10 weeks to come but we still paid the reduced price even though they had put the sofa back up to its original price in store.
In my experience the offers are a one off, and the sofa you like will probably not be reduced further unless its discontinued.

If it says 'After sales price applies 08/09/2021', does this mean it will stay at the sale price until then?
Sounds like it to me but maybe the best thing would be to call them to clarify.

Vagus, I did think of phoning them but have a feeling they may not be that helpful as they would probably want me to buy it now.
Worth a go perhaps though Barsel. I think I’d like all the relevant facts before I splashed out.

Sod's Law will take effect...if you wait til 08/09/21, you'll find they have sold out of the particular item you want and there will be none to be had in any of their stores...and no more being made.
This sort of thing has happened to me on a few occasions - I now get something I really want as soon as I see it.
If you don't mind haggling, go in and make a stupidly low offer. Start to walk away when they refuse, and see what offers come.

That's a bit rich coming from me. Haggling is too like arguing, and I hate arguments.
personally i think if you like it ans are prepred to pay the price, just get it and dont look at the price again
