Carry On Panicking......

.......because all the measures against Covid haven't worked, with the exception of the vaccine. Even the govt ads on the radio say it's spreading fast. This proves that facemasks are a complete waste of time. They weren't compulsory during the first lockdown, and the figures dropped rapidly. The latest measures have proved ineffective because the radio announcements say so; it's spreading fast. Facemasks are useless.
All covid testing centres should be closed down. Stop the testing, then re-open them for vaccinations only. Remove all restrictions because they haven't worked from day one. Some city centres have mobile matrix signs saying: Covid 19 is still here. Well, it will be here for good. It aint going away.
Chris Whitty delivers his messages in a Ian Macdonald-esque style, telling people to get boosted! This man needs a boost, from what I can see, as he enjoys his time in the sun. He's the warm-up man for The Lutine Bell.
All the coverage, all the announcements and press conferences are doing nothing but panicking people. In 2 years time we'll be having announcements about Plan R, or Plan S or Plan T. It's here folks, and it's here to stay.
The wokey, wimpy, sanctimonious lockdown lovers will be along shortly with the usual gubbins about how they are careful and we should all be like them. But I say stop panicking, because that's what happening, verging on hysteria now.
Your fear is their power.

As required by law I wear a mask on public transport and in shops. When I am out and about in the fresh air I dispense with it. As Danny says, it is a question of protecting others and not just yourself.
I agree, 10C. Covid is here to stay and we can't keep locking down. If you are worried stay away from people but let others live a life. I wear a mask in supermarkets, even if it helps a little it is worth it. It's no hardship. I am so fed up with all the 'news' about covid, it's the same thing over and over again.
You say vaccines work and then have ago at whitty urging is to get a booster.
You've done all the rubbish about we wore masks and deaths went up and we locked down and deaths went up and I can't be bothered explaining again that the rain don't come down just because we buy umbrellas or wearing shorts don't make the sun come out.

The burden of proof is, in any civilised debate, upon the proposer of the original statement to prove.
I freely admit I have zero evidence that omicron is being transmitted where masks are worn but the OP has made a statement but provided no proof.
In such a situation, is it not reasonable to ask what eveidence a person has for their assertions, or do we trust his mates at the local WMC implicitly?
