Herbal Essences shampoo

Herbal Essences shampoo makes my hair feel like straw - does anyone else have the same problem....?
I put conditioner on it after shampooing cos i have to, or it would just be one matted lump!! I can't understand this as they have awards for this product (well, so they claim.....)
My hair is bleached and coloured but its not in bad condition at all, no split ends or anything.....

which type are you using? You need a mild one if your hair is bleached I think and I would think a conditioner for coloured hair or dry hair. also try a conditioning treatment on it as it may be stripped of it's natural properties . A hot treatment would be good.

It wasn't that bad on my hair but it made my head itch like mad!!

Horrible stuff.

I swear by Aussie shampoos and conditioners, they're fab!

I just use the normal one Dot - cos i'm convinced that 'greasy' makes ya hair greasy n 'dry' makes ya hair dry!!! Not sure wot my idea of coloured is tho........ lol - n i use that Henara wax treatment once a fortnight, so my hairs good except when i wash it that herbal essence....

i too have bleached hair and you are so right...herbal essences is rubbish.if it helps i use elvive,not sure which one but its pink,and it makes my hair really soft

Hi Angeldraws, I found that Fructis shampoo reacted badly on my hair, sometimes even a product that I have been using regularly turns on me and leaves me with the Worzel Gummage effect. My hairdresser told me that sometimes if you are not very well, this comes out in your hair and it gets oversensitive to products and reacts badly.

i have highlights on my hair, and have had it all bleached too, ive never had a problem with herbal essence. I use the fruit fusions one and i love it, it works really well and my hair is always shiny. Ive never had a problem with it.

I tried the Fructis/fructus one and my hair felt like I had poured neat orange juice on it! My mum also used it and said her head itched like mad. That's one product I'll never use again...

Most shampoos turn my to straw. Miracle solution? Just use conditioner! (Don't scoff till you've tried it!)
