Mosquito repellant
Can anyone recommend a really good mosquito repellant ? I get bitten to death when we go away and the bites get infected and take ages to clear up. I've heard that it can depend on your skin type what works effectively - I'm very fair skinned with freckles. I need someting effective - apart from the sprays, is there perhaps anything you can get from the Doctor ?

I just to get terribly bitten by mozzies every summer until I discovered the Avon Skin So Soft range, frangrance Soft and Fresh. I use the shower gel and the dry oil body spray. Ever since I've been using this I have had only one or two bites every summer rather than the 30 at a time I was getting.

Take garlic tablets for two weeks before you go and continue taking them when youre on holiday and also go to you,re nearest outdoor shop and but expidition 100 it contains deet which keeps the mozzies away. it stinks but it works. I,m like you I get bitten really badly every holiday, for a few years I had to seek out the local doctor to get a jag in the bum, I even ended up in hospital on one occasion
You can't get anything from the doctors but I also endorse the avon fresh range, use the body oil spray. As I'm also allergic to the bites, I take an antihistamine from day 1. Also get some citronella candles for your room or apartment, you can get tea light size, start burning them as soom as you get in your room in the afternoon, until you go to sleep. I find a multipronged attack works best.
Another thing you can get along with sprays and repellents is Citronella. You can get the oil that you use with a burner or a candle.
