Suitcases and hand luggage

What are you allowed/not allowed to put in your suitcase and hand luggage...Im unsure as to what goes were

You can put anything in your hold luggage apart from anything illegal! Hand luggage wise they're more strict now so you can only take liquids in 100ml or less containers and they've to be kept in a see through bag 20x20cm max. You can't take anything sharp like scissors or knives and you can't take gas, lighters etc.
