The pill and pregnancy
7 Answers
Someone correct me if i'm wrong in all of this, just need a bit of help or explaining - when you're on the pill it works by tricking your body into thinking it's pregnant, and the periods that you get at the end of every packet are fake ones, so how does this work with pregnancy tests - if you're body thinks you are pregnant will it show up that you are even when you're not just because of the pill and could you be pregnant but still have a fake period?

These tests are extremely reliable - between 97% and 99% reliable. This hormone (hCG) is not (or should not be)produced when you are on the pill. It is still possible to have periods when you are pregnant, although not so common.
