Royal Marines

Interesting to see that the Marines now have an ad on the telly seeking to recruit new people. This is the first time I reckon they have put out tv advertising.

The number of body bags coming back from Afghanistan and Iraq is really denting their recruitment no doubt.

to true they have had a recruitment campaign before , my partner was in the marines for 15 years and when he left because of the troubles in iraq he lost so many friends and its so sad 5 years on lads and girls who shouldnt be there are still dying for a war we shouldnt be involved in

Sorry, I don't wish to be so pedantic, but my late Grandad was a proud Royal Marine and would be spinning in his grave (if he'd been buried) to hear the RM's referred to as a British Army regiment....

The Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy and are immensely proud of it too..
