What has happened to Campbells Soup? Gone from the shelves of Tesco and Sainsbury, it would seem. Anyone know why?

I read something about this a few weeks, maybe even months, ago now. Something to do with Batchelors getting rid of their umbrella and just using their name on all brands or something.
Sorry it's a bit vauge I'll try to find a link....

love campells condensed soups they are so versatile,you can use them as a sauce and soup!!!

oooh I love tinned soup. And I often use camobells tomato to make my lasagne

"But now the famous red and white cans of Campbell's Condensed Soup are to disappear from supermarket shelves across Britain.

By the end of December all Campbell's cans will have vanished, to be replaced by ones with new labels bearing the message: 'Soon to be Batchelors.'

From March, the product will be rebranded Batchelors Condensed Soup, although the recipe will remain unchanged.

The rebranding follows last year's takeover of Campbell's UK by Premier Foods.

And it has led marketing experts to predict a bidding war on internet auction sites as collectors rush to get their hands on the final cans produced. "
