clover new cuttings

I have some clover with the lilac coloured flower and stems that one can put in salads. The bees love it. I think it may be red clover. Can I and if so how take cuttings from it?

You wont need to take cuttings as it will spread all by itself, but I think splitting it and replanting should do the job also.
