Need urgent advice please

My Cannon gas cooker has gone on the blink, and no idea whats wrong, it was fine this morning.
The gas supply is coming through no problem, but the digital panel is not
lit, which usually shows the time, but that's out. I Have changed the 3a fuse, plugged it in but it went bang, tried another fuse did the same thing. Have phoned Indesit company but they have quoted £ 134.00 flat charge, and a probable five day wait, which is impossible. Any advice before i call someone from Yellow Pages. Please

If gas is coming through then why not manually ignite? This will keep you going temprorarily at least.

standalone, def 3a fuse was in it, i tried a 5a that went bang too.
turn on gas, can smell it, but won't ignite, and the display panel light is def out. Usually says time of day 10.12 or whatever, sorry this has been such a bad day, i spent half the afternoon as well with the ISP to reset my wireless router as i lost all broadband, and we spent an age getting it reset, so i am totally peed off.

changed fuses, moved the plug to another socket, it did the same thing, would putting a 13a fuse in the plug make any difference, or is that overload. Had it quite a while but its been as good as gold, and a lot of money at the time.
no haven't done anything to the oven at all. I have to shut off electricity supply when change fuses etc, as don't like the electricity live, always think one day will be electrocuted.

i changed another 3a fuse, tried different socket same thing, bang, and there seemed to a little flash of blue light, sorry can't be more specific at the rear of the gas oven, just as switched supply back on. Either that will have to find yellow pages, or accept the £134 quid, but im totally teed off abut that. That's the third thing that has gone awry, Hi-fi, laptop lost all connectivity, and now this. I am wondering if someone has been tinkering with the ectricity supply in the area, but so far all other applicances work ok. I couldn't even get us some lunch, or dinner for that matter.
Can you get to the insides of the unit? If you've blown as many fuses as you say there is defiantly a serious problem some where and if it has "Flashed" you will probably be able to see some signs of burning. It might be something as simple as a connector burnt off which you could fix yourself, but failing that you'll have to get an expert in. Is it an old cooker? if it is it might be nearly as cheap to treat yourself to a new one
I can try manual light, confess gas/elctricity scare me half to death, as i dont really know what i am doing. Engineer coming tomorrow, but can see this as an arm and a leg, had it for a while, but new was over 600 quid, so its why im reluctant to shell out more for new one. No i won't increase the fuse anyway, it had a 3a in it, assume as its been there for a while that its standard. Thanks for the advice.
mattk apologies i am in such a blasted state, router on laptop went awol yesterday, the hi fi had a glitch, which took days to resolve but with help from nice people on here got it sorted, and then the cooker stopped working, so no lunch yesterday, add having to find a gas engineer,
80 quid call out, and that i am sure is just the start.
