To do agility you need some basic training like walking to heel (healing?) and sit or down stays. They need to be good off the lead and come when called, so I would find a good training class for the basics, then you will probably find that other people there also do agility or heelwork to music and you can find a specialist club that does that. If you want to have a go at 'breed' (beauty) showing you need a ringcraft club, which teaches you how to get your dog to stand and move in the way they have to do at a show, and get used to being handled by a judge. The breeder of your dog is the best person to tell you whether your dog is good enough to be a show dog, and will also be able to give you some tips on grooming. There is no reason why a breed such as yours can't do all of these things - I know plenty that do and enjoy success in several areas. Its great that you want to do things with your dog and I wish you good luck. Which area are you - I can find out about suitable classes for you and maybe some shows in your area where you can go and chat to other Goldie owners.
