some people just love them to pieces and don't realise all those treats aren't good for them

I actually found my westie was getting a bit chunky, god knows how 'cos he is absolutely hyper and is quite strictly fed.
I've ended up putting him on doggy organic diet food, which he loves, and he looks to have slimmed down quite a lot.

My girl was a JRT crossed with a pig but even so , never quite that bad. That is cruel.

My friend had a chihuahua that ended up like that. When the vet saw it he was furious and ordered her to put the dog on a diet or he would have her charged with animal cruelty.

Some dogs are more prone to obesity then others. Evenso... it is up to the one who takes on the responsibility of an animal's well-being to regulate the food intake and exercise.
