Help Please. Allergic Raction

My GSD's face began to swell about an hour ago. Lips, eyes, frantic rubbing of her face.

I rang the out of hours vets who told me to give her 1-2 piriton. How many of these can she have throughout the night until I can get to the vets tomorrow morning?

my last GSD had some sort of a reaction a couple of years ago , we never found out what had caused it . The vet told us to always have Piriton in the house it worked every time it happened again.

Her usual dry dog food, sibs. She's usually ravenous but not tonight. I might be able to tempt her with a bit of roast gammon, when it's done.

Hi Tilly she is a handful ! She is doing great though. Loving having a puppy in the house again but jeez I had forgotten what hard work they are . I need eyes in the back of my head. Hows things with your GSD now ? x

Puppies are a handful, jasmine. When we had Tilly, I lost half a stone in the first two months we had her. I'm pleased that things are going well for you all.

The GSD is not herself but then she has had a traumatic twenty four hours. She might perk up a bit tomorrow. We'll see.

Daughter is thinking of changing from Bakers after something she read.

I don't use Bakers, Sibs. It is rubbish. We have Barking Heads, low fat chicken and rice.

Thanks jasmine. She is twelve and is getting old. These things happen and we keep putting ourselves through it with them.

It's a lot more expensive, sibs. The premium quality dog foods are.

I haven't heard of that brand of food. I have got Reeva on Royal Canin ,how does the one you use compare to that ?

I think Royal Canin is one of the better ones, jasmin.

Reeva was on Royal Canin when we bought her so we just kept on it .
